ART

Scenes and the city

If you were waiting for a flight in Terminal C at Logan last summer, you might have seen David Wells Roth's paintings. But if you were running for a flight and didn't catch them, here's your second chance. The Framingham artist and Boston University grad has 31 oil paintings of Boston and New York in "Metropolis: Urban Scenes From 1980-2007," up at the Boston Society of Architects building through May 31. You can meet the artist at tonight's reception from 6:30 to 9 p.m. His local pieces include "Approaching Cleveland Circle," "Snow in Brighton," and "Behind the State House." Free.
